A plus and a minus....

I don't really know where to start, so here goes... I guess I'll start with the minus.
I am glad that last week is done and gone.
I was a nervous wreck.
Last Friday Maddie had to go to the dentist.
This visit wasn't for a "happy visit." She had to have one of her
front teeth extracted. I was not ready for this day.
Something happened to her tooth and it got chipped somehow and started to take a turn for the worse, so it had to come out.
Maddie did better that I thought she would.(better than her mommy did) Everything went smooth. The tooth came out fine and Maddie did so wonderful afterwards. I was prepared for her to go home and sleep of the "sleepy drugs" that she received, but instead she was ready to jump around and play like normal. The hardest part was trying to keep her calm the rest of the day. But I was so proud of how good she did. It doesn't look so hot right now, but it's healing good.
Now we just have to wait for a new tooth......

On a much happier note....a plus!
To keep my mind occupied, I decided to re-do the table and chairs that is in our kitchen. I've been wanting to do this for a while and this last weekend I finally just got off my butt and did it.
I've had this table for almost 10 years and I thought it was time for a face lift.
I didn't take a before picture, but I found one from Thanksgiving of last year. It's not the whole table, but you get the idea of what it used to look like.

And here's what it looks like now! I love it.

That's all I have for now.....

One giant sandbox

Saturday Stu & I packed up and headed south.
Can you guess where we went?

You guessed it! We went to the sand dunes in Waynoka, Oklahoma.
The weather was perfect. We had a blast. But it's not hard to have a good time playing in the sand.
My favorites are the pictures of Stewart riding in the bright yellow dune buggy. He sure enjoyed the ride! I didn't ride in that one, but later I rode in another buggy that was in our group. It was a four seater. It was awesome!

We sure had fun playing in the giant sandbox!

Happy Birthday!

58 years ago today, David Marble was brought into this world.
Today he is the worlds best Dad and Grandpa.

For a short period of time he served in the United States Army.

He married my Mom in September 1973. And 6 years later became a father to twins!

He loves the outdoors and all the hunting one man can do.

We love you lots!
Happy Birthday Dad!!!!!

Double Bubble.....

Since the weather has been so nice in the evening times, we have been spending time playing outside after dinner.
Last night Maddie was begging to go play bubbles.
So I grabbed my 'ole camera to capture the moment.
Some of Maddison's facial expressions are priceless.
I think at one point she was just hamming it up for the camera.

It's moments like this that you want to remember.
They aren't this age forever. (although I wish she would be)
Having a child is a true blessing and should never be taken for granted.
I can't wait to look back at the pictures with Maddie as she grows older.
In my heart she will always be this happy, free spirited child that she is today.

Today Maddie and I went to see our friends Dana & Kate at the hospital.
They proudly welcomed their third daughter.
She is so precious. Maddie was excited to meet her.
She has two big sister's to watch over her.

Here's the whole family. Dana,Gentry,Kate,Emery & Kennedy.

Maddison googling over Emery.

Here is Emery with her beautiful Aunt Ann. Today is also Ann's birthday. She was so proud to meet her new niece.

Sorry Kate, but I couldn't wait to share these pictures of Emery.
Thanks for letting me be a part of her life.

Happy Labor Day.

It's Labor Day and I'm NOT doing any sort of labor.
I guess that's only for people that have jobs? Don't know really.
But being a wife and a mother is a FULL time job.
Except the payment comes in hugs and kisses.
So, here's to my labor (and I ain't talkin child birth)
Cleaning house.

It's NOT my favorite thing to do, but since I don't have a live in maid, things have to be done.

Dirty dishes.

I don't always mind cleaning up the dishes. Usually means that we've just enjoyed a good meal. And I like to cook and EAT!
Dusting.
Yuck. Enough said.

Some days I want to pretend that the dust is a light dusting of snow. Inside my house.
Vacuuming.

This I don't mind. (as much)
Only because I can't stand having crumbs or lint on my floor. Pet peeve I guess.
And of course, don't forget the Laundry.

NOT my favorite at ALL!!!
I think that if I could afford to pay someone to do my laundry, I probably would.
I know I shouldn't complain, I only do laundry for 3 people.
And I am blessed that I have a working washing machine.
I can't imagine what it would be like have to hand wash everything.
I think that would make me go crazy.

I'm sure that I've missed a few other house hold chores, but you all get the idea.
Hope everyone has had a "labor" free Labor Day!
Tomorrow is another day.
