Busy,busy,busy,busy.
That's all I can say. Halloween is just a few days away, and Maddison can't stand the fact that she has to wait another week to go trick-or-treating.
I haven't been blogging, but I've been trying to work on some other projects at home. I am very excited about them, but I will get to that later this week.
We didn't make it back to the Pumpkin Patch, and since I promised Maddie a pumpkin for Halloween, we went to the grocery store and picked a few out.
We found a nice big one to carve and put it on the front porch. Not that very many people will see it, but we know it's there.
With the help of my strong husband, he cut the top off the pumpkin, and I did the rest, and Maddie watched. Here's how it turned out.
Let me just note that Maddie picked out the face.
Hope everyone has a good week! Happy Halloween!

I want one!
Our neighbors Bill and Resa should open a petting zoo.
When I heard about the latest 4 legged fur balls that they had in the barn, I was all smiles that day.
I dropped what I was doing and grabbed my camera and trotted over to see.
If I could, I would have taken all of them home. On top of the fact that Stu would have had a stroke, I left them there.
But they are soooooooo cccccccuuuuuuuttttttteeeeeeee!!!!!!
There are 5 total. 1 solid grey, 2 black ones, and 2 grey and white ones.
Then I made the mistake of taking this girl to see them.
And of course, we had to show her BFF Kennedy!
I can now expect Maddie to beg me every day to go see the kittens. Which is alright with this cat lover. But hopefully they will stay at the barn.
The other day after a quick visit, two of them followed us back to our house. It was a chore taking them back and getting them to stay. I have to admit, cheese works the best.

Rained out
I was so ready for this weekend.
For the past week, we planned to take a trip to Walter's Pumpkin Patch. It is truly a beautiful place. Here I was bragging to my mother in-law how wonderful this place was and all the neat things they had to see and do. We were so excited to go.
We made it there and the sky turned cloudy and the temperature cooled off. No problem. It finally was starting to feel like fall weather.
Well that all changed in about 15 minutes. It started to rain.
We were there long enough to take a few pictures, Maddie got to go on one ride and we looked around in the gift shops.
I was bummed.
I was so ready for the hay ride out to the field to pick out the perfect pumpkins to take home. I guess this means we will just have to try again later.
Here's a few pictures of the little fun we had.
This is Maddie and her cousin Kinley. As we were walking in to the pumpkin patch,Kinley and her Mommy and Daddy were walking out.
Can you believe that these two are only 1 year apart in age.
Here's some of the things that I managed to make it home with.
Not the pumpkins I was hoping for, but they were too cute to pass up.
Better luck next time!

I'm slackin'........
Howdy folks!
I didn't vanish off the face of the earth.....no I've just been lazy and didn't feel like blogging. Plus my camera is starting to collect dust. We can't have that happen. But don't worry before too long it will get used again. Since the holidays are right around the corner. I don't even want to think about it.
Nothing exciting has been happening at our house. So here's what's been going on instead........Decorating for Halloween (Maddie's favorite holiday),watering my Mum's,loving my sweet child, enjoying the cooler weather, loving the fact that soon the bugs will be frozen in the colder weather, pre-school, dreading the fact that next year Maddie will start kindergarten, cooking in the crock pot, and tyring to remember to blog.
I've already got Maddie's Halloween costume. Hey it's get it now, or they won't have her size in two weeks. Here's a sneak peek. I'm not going to say what it is, but if you can guess it, then I'll tell.
Stay tuned, because I smell a trip to the pumpkin patch soon........
